In August 2023, the prestigious publishing house Lexington Books has published a first in the respective field, i.e. the volume SOCIAL VALUES AND IDENTITIES IN THE BLACK SEA REGION. Edited by Mălina Voicu, Kseniya Kizilova and Marian Zulean. the book focuses on the Black Sea region and the authors employ cross-national comparative approaches based on large-scale time-series survey data from the World Values Survey (1981-2022), European Values Study (1981-2021), Eurasia Barometer

(2001-2021) and other sources. Our colleague, Dragoș C. Mateescu’s, has contributed to this volume with a chapter under the title ”National securitization against cultural diversity in Turkey: Relevant data in the World Values Survey and what lies beyond” (pp. 259-279).
