We had the pleasure of receiving the visit of Mrs. Alexandra Shema, a human rights officer from the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest. The dialogue revolved around the issue of respecting the rights of minorities in Romania, as well as gender equality. Democracy doesn’t merely mean majority voting but entails much more: political pluralism, respect for minorities and diversity.
