Our colleague Valentin Nicolescu participated in the Ukrainian Central European Forum in Lviv, Ukraine on 7-8 November 2023. The event, organized by the Foreign Policy Council “Ukrainian Prism,” brought together experts and practitioners from Central Europe and around the world.
The agenda of the forum was extremely full, with the main focus of the panel discussions being the process of European integration of Ukraine from a multi-perspective approach, the key issue being the identification of regional challenges and building a common vision for the future of the Central and Eastern European countries.
Valentin participated in the panel “Global South – the potential of CEE in promoting Regional and Ukrainian Interests/Joining Forces to Reach the Global South.” During the discussions, the need to reconceptualize the relations with the countries of the so-called Global South based on the historical experiences of the Central and Eastern European countries, as well as on the traditional bi- and multi-lateral relations was emphasized.
The event was also attended by the Romanian Ambassador to Ukraine, Alexandru Victor Micula.
