The launch of Issue II of Romania Occidentală

The launch of Issue II of Romania Occidentală Journal highlighted the importance of developing intellectual hubs to exchange ideas in the field of diplomacy and foreign policy.

At the start of the event, Iulian Fota, Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs (MFA) and initiator of the “Revista România Occidentală” project highlighted the importance of prospective studies as the foundation of any healthy foreign policy.

In the same framework, Luca Niculescu, Secretary of State (MFA) and national coordinator of Romania’s accession process to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) noted the favourable context crossed by Romanian foreign policy, the future accession of our country to the OECD, confirming Romania’s place among democracies and strong economies globally.

Likewise, the efforts made by Romania regarding the support to the Republic of Moldova on its European path were noted by Victor Chirilă, the ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest. His Excellency emphasized the need for the development of bilateral relations and the transfer of expertise in the context of the current steps undertaken by Chisinau in the process of joining the European Union.
