The international conference “20 Months After the Russian Invasion in Ukraine: What Has Been Done, What Needs to Be Done in the Near Future, What Can Be Learned from the Past?”

The international conference “20 Months After the Russian Invasion in Ukraine: What Has Been Done, What Needs to Be Done in the Near Future, What Can Be Learned from the Past?” was organized by the University of Bucharest from November 9-11, 2023. Over 70 participants, including experts in international relations and academia, presented their works, engaging in valuable idea exchanges.

Dr. Alexandru-Ionuț Drăgulin represented IDR with the project “Cooperation at the Black Sea: The Romania – Georgia Strategic Partnership after the Russian Invasion of Ukraine,” highlighting the need for Romania to strengthen bilateral relations with Eastern European countries and beyond.

Themes discussed during the conference included international assistance for Ukraine and post-conflict reconstruction strategies, EU expansion in the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, challenges and strategic projects in the Black Sea region, Russian propaganda strategies, and the role of international law in peacefully resolving conflicts.
