“Professional training program dedicated to diplomats from African countries“

Today, the “Professional training program dedicated to diplomats from African countries,” which runs from 23-27 October, started.

The opening ceremony was hosted by the Gafencu Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ceremony was addressed by Mr Traian Hristea, Secretary of State (MFA), Mrs Liliana Popescu-Bîrlan, Director RDI and Mr Mihai Sandu, Deputy Director RoAID, and moderated by Mrs Adina Sirbu, Deputy Director Middle East and Africa Directorate.

The training course is implemented through a partnership between the MFA, RoAID and RDI, and the 23 participants will benefit from lectures and interactions with decision-makers and leading personalities of Romanian foreign policy.

The programme will include study visits to cultural sites representative of Romania.

This course is part of the efforts to strengthen relations between Romania and Sub-Saharan African countries.
