Oleg Serebrian, Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova, gave a lecture at RDI on the economic, social and security situation in Transnistria. The guest spoke about the measures taken by the authorities in Chisinau to reintegrate the region into the legal regime of the Republic of Moldova, measures that do not have negative impacts on the population of the region. The official emphasised that the security situation in the separatist territory is currently stable and that there is no danger of its annexation by the Russian Federation. Oleg Serebrian also listed several scenarios for the settlement of the conflict, which have been publicly discussed, stressing that the authorities in Chisinau support the peaceful resolution of the dispute.
The audience for this lecture consisted in ambassadors and other members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Bucharest.
