It has been 20 years since Romania became a member of NATO. The moment was celebrated with a meeting at NATO headquarters in Brussels, organised by the Alliance’s Public Diplomacy Department.

RDI’s Director General, Liliana Popescu-Bîrlan, was invited, together with leading journalists and new generation opinion shapers, to participate in an intense briefing session on the alliance’s current work and preparations for the NATO summit in Washington this summer.
