Challenges of Modern Israel

On Friday, February 3, within RDI took place the release of the anniversary volume “Challenges of Modern Israel”, organized by the Theodor Herzl Center for Israeli Studies.
The event was moderated by Liliana Popescu (general director of RDI) and featured the lectures given by Liviu Rotman (historian and university professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences, SNSPA), Livia Szasz (translator and editorial director of Comunicare. ro), Madeea Axinciuc (professor at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, UniBuc) and Cristian Pîrvulescu (dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences SNSPA).
The debate highlighted the importance of the volume as a model for approaching complex studies, namely Israeli, governance and regional studies, comprising 19 contributions by researchers from various academic branches, 11 of which belong to the Romanian academic environment. Each study represents a debatable base for researchers passionate about aspects of the socio-political life of the State of Israel, but also regarding developments in the region.
