Abstract

This paper explores the "Nicolae Titulescu" International Courses for Young Diplomats, a prestigious and long-standing program organized by the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Established in 1991, the courses honor the vision of Nicolae Titulescu, the program offering a platform for young diplomats to develop their professional skills, exchange ideas and establish a global network. Over the years, its curriculum has adapted to address contemporary geopolitical challenges, particularly focusing on Romania’s role in NATO and the EU, as well as the defense of international law in the context of Eastern European security. The paper highlights the success of the program, evidenced by its alumni network of over 1,300 diplomats worldwide, and looks ahead to the future, with plans for the 30th anniversary edition in 2025.
