This article aims to highlight how Russia and China view their conflict with the West as an ongoing, existential struggle, primarily engaging through political and technological means, rather than direct military confrontation. Romania’s role, as highlighted in the article, involves its regional security initiatives and its active role in countering Russian influence emphasizing the country’s critical function in shaping Europe’s broader response to these geopolitical challenges. Furthermore, Romania faces the challenge of balancing its relationships with NATO and the EU while addressing the growing influence of China, particularly in technological and economic spheres. The article concludes with a stance on global power shifts from a unipolar to a multipolar order, driven by China's rise, the US's relative decline and technological advancements, the ongoing geopolitical transition being both destabilizing and transformative.
