Conferința privind viitorul Europei: un dialog necesar

Abstract

This article tackles the added value of the first Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFE), launched on Europe Day, May 9^th 2021, marking a new phase in citizen consultation to address Europe's challenges and priorities, along with the need to enhance utilizing new technologies to engage a wide and diverse audience. The article highlights the importance of citizen participation in shaping European decision-making and strengthen the legitimacy of EU institutions. It also reflects on Romania's active role in the conference, emphasizing key themes such as climate change, education, digital transformation and health. The article concludes by underscoring the significance of building a more resilient Union and reinforcing partnerships with neighboring regions and global allies to face future challenges.
