The Black Sea’s strategic location has historically made it a contested space among major powers, shaping regional and global geopolitics. This article examines the evolution of power struggles in the region, with a focus on Dobrogea, a historically significant Romanian territory. By analyzing historical conflicts, economic influences and military interests, the article explores how these factors continue to impact contemporary security and cooperation efforts. The research also evaluates Romania’s Naval Forces strategic role, assessing its influence on Black Sea stability and its response to modern geopolitical challenges.
