Abstract

In this article, Nicu Popescu (Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova) discusses the challenges and initiatives aimed at reforming the country's diplomatic structures and advancing its European integration, with a strong emphasis on Romania's substantial contribution to this process. The article covers a wide array of topics, including the proposed reforms in the Moldavian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, particularly in relation to the challenges posed by digitalization, the pandemic, the need for modernization and the Ministry's efforts to engage the civil society and academic environment. Moreover, the interview highlights the current state of the Republic of Moldova's foreign policy, including relations with the European Union, the United States and Russia.
