Abstract

: In today’s dynamic global landscape, the interplay between internal and external politics is increasingly complex, with the preservation of the democratic regimes and internal stability serving as fundamental conditions for achieving success in foreign affairs. Nicolae Titulescu, one of Romania's most influential interwar diplomats, crafted a foreign policy centered on this interplay, where he emerged as a steadfast advocate for peace by opposing extremist ideologies and a strong proponent of multilateralism by opposing isolationism. Thus, this article examines his intellectual legacy and impact on Romania’s foreign relations, tracing his contributions to contemporary concepts of diplomacy, regional alliances, and international cooperation. The article highlights Titulescu's doctrine which serves as an intellectual resource that aligns with Romania's nowadays strategic interests and objectives.
