The event was attended by representatives of the Romanian and Ukrainian authorities, members of the Romanian and Ukrainian community of expertise, as well as students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During the conference debates, Geeorge Vi\u0219an pointed out the importance of Ukraine for the eastern flank and the contribution it could bring to the Alliance&#8217;s security, when it is invited to become a member.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He also highlighted how the norms and rules-based international order is currently being challenged in the Black Sea, the South China Sea and the Middle East.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Her highlighted the strategic importance of the Black Sea region of the international system in this global context and underlined the negative effects for the global order of Russia&#8217;s illegitimate and illegal agression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery images=&#8221;8412,8414&#8243; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1720699234636{margin-top: 30px !important;}&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/section>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] On June 25, George Vi\u0219an, advisor within the IDR Expertise Supply Directorate, participated in the conference Shaping the Security Policy on NATO&#8217;s Eastern Flank: Romania&#8217;s Role in the Case of Ukraine.
