The Romanian Diplomatic Institute (RDI) launched the issue 2/2023 of the “România Occidentală” magazine, an edition encompassing analytical materials dedicated entirely to the African continent.

The event took place at the RDI headquarters, bringing together ambassadors and eminent representatives of African states.

On this occasion, the guest of honor was Traian Hristea, Secretary of State for Global Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, one of the architects of the Romania-Africa Strategy launched last December.

Additionally, remarks were made by Liliana Popescu, Director General of IDR, Dragoș Mateescu, Director of Analysis, Mihai Constantinescu and Claudiu Codreanu – experts.

The discussions focused on the paradigm shift in Romania’s foreign policy by providing a global vision of transcontinental relations, emphasizing the similarities and opportunities for a deepened Romania-Africa relationship.
