The International Women’s Day was celebrated at RDI with the event “The Status of Women in the World Today. Discussing disparities. Finding solutions together”.

The panel featured Luminița Odobescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kathleen Kavalec, US Ambassador to Romania, and Therese Hyden, Swedish Ambassador to Romania.

Ambassadors from different continents spoke about the difficulties and the importance of women’s solidarity in all parts of the world.

The UN SC resolution 1325, “Women, Peace and Security”, and the crucial importance of involving women in peace negotiation processes were mentioned.
